   I found this in the Forums on IGN. Hope this helps. Not sure how far you’ve gotten in the game to know where he is talking about.

   **talk to the guy who you helped his son get that raft across the river at the westersands
   he will say something about fishing, but he doesn’t have a pole

   at the port of balfone (spelling whatever)

   there is some old man sitting fishing near the aerodome, talk to him i think twice or three times.

   walk away from him, so he is off your screen, but don’t exit to the next screen. then come back to where he was and you will be able to take his fishing rod

   bring it back to that guy and you will be able to play**

   Many RPG’s include mini-games like this mainly to break up the same old fight, level, go to next story plot point, repeat. Many mini-games now accually do things though, like get you material needed to make a spell, ect.
