Many people that I know have been taking fishing trips to the Lake of the Woods. They have been catching huge northerns and Walleyes.
The Rainy River is opening slowly, with the colder temperatures we’ve been experiencing it’s been a long wait. The landing at Birchdale is now open and many anglers are taking advantage of the open water. The river is again producing some nice pre-spawn walleyes, with many 25 to 28 inchers being caught.
