A nice way of saying, playing a fishing game on you computer or online.
I’m not one for playing many games online or on my PC, but when I started the fishing in the kawarthas site, which then progressed to the fishing products online fishingstore site, I came across these two neat little online games that seemed to relate to my fishing products online.
Naturally, I had to make them available to my visitors, and I went ahead and did just that. If you are interested you can check out the two games here - Fishing Trip and Crazy Fishing.
Oddly enough the company that releases these games is called BigFish Games - go figure my luck! But don’t let the name fool you. They have a heap load of games for PCs users, Mac users, Onliners, and Kids too covering a range of topics, themes and skill factors.
Another one of the games I found from their large net load of categories, this time a PC based game for the gentle are of fish watching, called Fishdom. Check it out here.
I just remembered a game I used to play on my Amiga 500 - this will date me I’m sure - but it was one of the best fishing games I had. It was called Reel Fish’n - A bass Fishing Simulation. Great graphics, even for way back then and true to life sound effects. I can vouch for that. Living by the river and fishing from my dock, I hear the “Red-winged Blackbird” often telling me to vacate their territory. This sound is perfectly duplicated in the Amiga game. I still have my Amiga 500, actually I have 2 of them tucked away in a closet somewhere - but that’s another story.
OK! Back to virtual fishing or fishing games online, computer based fishing games and this post. Nowadays the gaming community has invested heavily in a variety of sophisticated games, computer based, as well as the ones played worldwide online over the net. I wonder what is new in fishing games? Perhaps this could be the topic for another post, blog or website, even it has been done already. This is my fishing world in the kawarthas so what the heck, I’ll have to check them out for another day.

When it comes to fishing Ontario offers some of the best fishing that you will ever do. It has been said that 30 pounders have been caught there are numerous occasions. If you are wanting to catch the best fish possible you must make sure you have the perfect time. Timing is very important when it comes to Pike fishing.
When fishing in the north you will notice that the water seems to remain cooler than the south so there is usually tons of great fishing that still can be done. In the summer months pikes tend to stay in shallow waters because of the coolness of the waters.
Usually sighing for these types of fish is more successful during the fall months as the start to prepare for the winter months. Thesefish are usually very easy to catch as they will either hit your line or grab on to your line and head for the weeds that are in the water thinking they can hide from being caught.
There are many types of pike that you can fish for. Just for some quick history the Latin word for pike is Lucius. If you are fishing in the north at certain times you may find it hard to tell the pike apart from another type of fish called Esocidae. They are somewhat similar and sometimes hard to distinguish. They may be similar in color and size even with the big and small mouth bass.
One of the best ways to fish for this fish is to use a floater. Using natural baits along with floaters have been know to help catch these fish a lot easier than the other normal ways of fishing. People have also been known to stuff these fish for mounting on their walls as a prize catch.
In Ontario they have farms that fish are bread and raised specifically for the pike fishing season. You can fish for a fee of course but you are also guaranteed to catch some of the best fish possible.
Ontario is one of the best places to fish especially when it comes to Pike. When fishing there you are bound to catch some of the best looking and tasting fish possible. You may catch one of the biggest fish ever also. There are certain times that pike fishing is better so you may want to fish during the cooler months to make sure that you will be able to catch something.
Just remember when it comes to fishing for pike in Ontario you must sure that your timing is perfect for the perfect catch. And you may also want to remember that fall and spring times are the best times to fish for this type of fish.
